Recently I have discovered a dog park in Londonderry, NH. We have been going every Saturday for three weeks now. Zoë has an amazing time there! Her first visit she was very timid and tried to escape numerous times, and spent the rest of the time hiding under benches or in peoples arms. Now she runs around and plays hard with all of the other dogs, big and small. I have also noticed that her favorite "type" of dog is pitbull. They like to play rough like she does! She has made many great little friends at the park.
Evan accompanied us for our second trip and was able to get some pictures of Zoë romping around with the other pups!
Enjoy!

Zoë’s First Hike
Yesterday was the perfect day to take Zoë on her first hike! We chose Mount Major, which is just south of Lake Winnipesaukee. It is a relatively short, easy hike to the summit, with very rewarding views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
Zoë did great! She is a better hiker than I could ever be! There were many other hikers on the trails that day and Zoë got to meet many, many people and dogs!
Of course, Evan brought along his camera and got some good shots of the scenery!
(Zoë, of course, was looking at everything but the camera!)
On the way home we decided to stop for dinner and ended up at the Strange Brew, mainly because NOTHING else was open on Sunday... Although, I must admit... I need to change my opinion of the Strange Brew, the beer selection was just as poor as our first visit, they were out of most of their seasonal specials, however this time I ordered the Fried Goat Cheese Salad (with toasted almonds, and strawberries) and it was absolutely delicious! I couldn't stop eating it! Evan had the Chipotle Pulled Pork Quesadilla and for beers we had Allagash White (me), Smuttynose Maibock (also me), and Smuttynose Robust Porter (Evan). Nothing really special, in my opinion.

Our Very Own Boxador
Her name is Zoë.
She is a Boxer Labrador Retriever mix from Conway, Arkansas. We actually found her through petfinder.com. I was rather skeptical of the whole thing and I was expecting to show up at the pickup location in Bridgeport, CT to find that it was all a scam and that there was no little Zoë. Thankfully, we arrived at the pickup location and there was the transport truck with a handful of people waiting to meet their new family members.
We picked her up on July 17th, the day of the joint birthday party for my father and myself. There were over 50 people in attendance, along with 5 dogs (two of which were full grown white pyrenees!) Zoë fit right in. She played hard with the other dogs, wanted to meet everyone, and even went swimming!
Now it is early September and we've had Zoë for a few months and she is shaping up to be a pretty smart, great dog.
